Proverbs 10:24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

God is sovereignly in control of His world. It may not seem as though this is the case from time to time, but He rules and reigns. He does so in the background many times as we cannot necessarily see His mighty hand in operation. But He none the less rules. The proverb above points to this reality. He has orchestrated life so that His spiritual laws will stand forever. He has laid the foundation for truth and righteousness. And He has assured us that the wicked will suffer for their sin. This is not a glamorous thought. But it is a reality. That the wicked will have come upon them that which they most feared. They will face it. They will experience it. They will know it. There is nothing that they can do to change that reality. Righteous people have things in this life that they fear as well. But the difference here is this, their God will hold back the floods of disaster over them while He opens the gate over the wicked. The answer to us all is this: be a righteous man, woman, boy, or girl. Be righteous. The interesting part about this is that you and I cant just be righteous. We are inherently unrighteous. Only Christ is righteous and only by faith in Him can we be made righteous.

Ac 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Php 3:9 ¶ And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

From this truth we discover that we can exchange our fear for faith. In Him we can rest assured that we will receive at His hands only that which is good for us. Without Him we are destined to get that which we most feared. Come to Christ today and embrace Him. He loves you and wants what’s best for you.
