Have you ever thought about how much time you waste? It may seem as if it’s not that important until you realize that your days are not limitless, and they will come to an end. In fact, the end is much closer than you might think.

I recently attended the funeral of a 25 year-old young man. He was tragically killed in a car accident. He definitely had no idea that his life was going to end that night, but it did. Do you realize that your time is not limitless? Because this is true, we all could use a good reminder of this reality.

In Luke 13, Jesus shares a parable with a group of people which causes them to realize that their time on earth is limited. If they were going to do anything for Him, they best do it NOW!!!

The norm today is for teenagers to spend the majority of their time doing things that honestly are not worthy of their time. The average young person spends hours a day during the summer with some electronic device in their hand. Whether it be an iPod, game boy, laptop, cell phone, etc., their time just slips away. Needless to say, very little of eternal consequence is accomplished in such endeavors.

My challenge to you today is this—consider what you are doing with your time, and make sure the things that consume your time are worthy of something that is so valuable.  A wasted life is made up of wasted years, months, weeks, days, and hours. Since you have so little time, do not waste even one opportunity for eternity.
